Hello 2011!! New Years Day was spent sleeping in until 9 am. At least the adults in the house did. Claire and Ava peeked into our bedroom earlier in the morning and as Claire shut our door I heard her say "Let's let mom and dad sleep in longer."
Happy New Year to us. Thanks girls!
That night we had our annual small group Christmas party. It is tradition that we cannot have our get together/gift exchange until January. That would just be weird.
We had supper together, let the kids exchange their gifts and then the adults participated in the annual white elephant gift exchange. And I must say there were some veryjunkie interesting gifts. The goal for the Isaacsons is to leave with as little junk as possible and this year we scored!

Ava, Janie and Claire dressed in Sara's clothes
Grace soaking in all the commotion
All the kiddos minus the 3 babes...12 kids total...adults outnumbered this year!
My favorite gals...Whitney, Beth, Jen, Jess and Sara
And what party would be complete without rockin' it "Guitar Hero" style? Oh yes, yes we did. And we enjoyed every minute of it. Well, I know I did.
"Trying" to play the guitar.
Singing...or something
And yes, that is my husband you see on the bass guitar and not a figment of your imagination. He rocked it!
Claire on the drums! Making her uncle proud!
Ava on the bass
And the drums
Time for a hug...let me remind you that it is about midnight here and the girls were still going strong!
What a natural!
At 12:30 the girls decided it was time to rest so their parents could keep partying! Just kidding...
